Now we thought we have seen it all, but Drake has become the Spokesman for Woman across the world with “Nice For What”. As he tease fans saying a new track produced by Murda Beatz is on the way, he then drops “Nice For What” video last night. With samples of Lauryn Hill (Ex Factor) and New Orleans bounce with Big Freedia, DJ Blaq and Mild, and 5th Ward Webbie sample across the song, he doing it for the culture. With Cardi B’s debut album being released, Drake shed some major light with his highlight of the month, or maybe the year?
The OVO General debuts the video with a star studded cast of woman. Featuring Issa Rae, Tiffany Haddish, Rashida Jones, Tracee Ellis Ross, Letitia Wright from Black Panther, and many, many more.
With the production, we salute Drake as we are New Orleans Natives. The track starts off with Big Freedia, New Orleans Bounce Artist. It had us in awe that the super artist praise our culture the way he does. The song has an upbeat to it and gives you a reason to move. He embraced New Orleans culture from the roots with this one. This should make everyone smile from the hometown. He dedicates it to the ladies, and praises them as well. Throughout the video, Drake displays all of these successful women living their best of life. We salute Drake for such another dope video. “God’s Plan” topped the cake, but now is another anthem especially for the women across the nation.
