Just heard Gucci Mane’s ‘Lemonade’ on the radio and couldn’t resist the production of his beat. No surprise that in 2009, Super Producer Bangladesh created Gucci Mane’s hit. You are familiar with his work from Lil Wayne’s ‘A Milli’, Beyoncé’s ‘Diva’, Ludacris ft. Shawnna ‘What’s Your Fantasy’, and more.
In a Complex article, Bangladesh describes his connection with Gucci and how this hit was created. He explains how his ideas comes from Flo & Eddie’s ‘Keep It Warm’. He wanted to incorporate the sample melody. The sample words were changed into “Lemonade”. He actually recorded his daughter and nieces for the hook of sample.
“Lemonade” becomes the third single off Gucci’s “The State vs. Radric Davis”. It became #8 on the Rap Songs for the Billboard. Bangladesh has paved the way for many of our favorite producers today. “Lemonade” is a prime example of his Magic creations in our Hip Hop culture.
How else would “The Ghost” himself pull up for “The NOLA Loud Fest” in New Orleans? With positive energy and the rawest tracks he could have ever created. D Block’s General Styles P bought the real thorough hip hop heads to The Howlin’ Wolf August 24th.
Styles P recently dropped his EP “G-Host” and was perfect timing for the streets to lock in. You can check it out in all media outlets.
With dope sounds by DJ Keith Scott, and MC Dollar on the mic, it was for sure a smoke session throughout the facility.
We chopped it up with B-Nice, New Orleans Event Host And Entertainment Influencer, who curates an enlightening show for the Independent and Underground music scene. He allows artists from the city to present their talents with some of the most influential mainstream artists in the nation.
We were able to catch performances from some of New Orleans rawest yet most talented artists in the city:
The opening acts had the right to kill the stage. We enjoyed their performance.
One thing we did noticed, was a few opening acts left before the OG himself even stepped foot onto the stage. With an honor to present yourself before an artist such as Styles P, you would expect the artists and crowd to stay for the main act. Not sure what may have caused this, but it was mind boggling to see the crowd fled away. We believe paying dues no matter what level is perceived to be. Respect and honor the leaders who lead us.
Overall, the NOLA Loud Fest was pretty cool, Styles P even came out with Hennessy bottles and poured up with the fans. Definitely a highlight moment. Big up to him and his team. We look forward to see who they will be having at the next Fest.
Drake definitely put on for the city of New Orleans with his hit single “In My Feelings” from his latest project “Scorpion”. Drake is well aware of New Orleans culture, as a member of Young Money/Cash Money Records. With the “KeKe Challenge” stirring the Internet into a frenzy, he also gave the world an overview of New Orleans Bounce Music. Having Super Producer BlaqNMild on the beat is the perfect example of a bounce track!
Having New Orleans own Magnolia Shorty on the track “I Got A New Boy, & That Nigga Trade” puts smiles on the cities face. Everyone in the city should have brightened up, having this track placed repeatedly across the globe. We salute to her family as she Rest In Peace. He also have the City Girls Featured on the track.
Directed by Karena Evans, the video had special appearances by La La Anthony, Shiggy, and The Cosby’s Show Phylicia Rashad. The video has a fun-filled vibe with in the heart of New Orleans.
We got the chance to sit with Dipset’s own Juelz Santana while in Houston last week. He is now on the Dipset Forever Tour. Despite his court case he is dealing with at the moment, he was approved for travel so he can continue his tour with his fellow brothers Jim Jones, Cam’Ron, and Freeky Zeeky.
While in Houston, Juelz links up with The Hip Hop Live Review Show before his show. He had the chance to meet some beautiful, smart kids, supporting them 100% in their schooling and goals for the future.
Juelz speaks on doing tons of music, having great times traveling while on tour, adapting to changes due to his case, and Houston and New Orleans love. We pray for him and his family as well as his future endeavors.
Florida female and Hustle Gang Artist Tokyo Jetz Coming for your head in her latest “The One”. This song has an addicting persona that you can’t resist to say “I’m The One”. Her lyrics are mean and her Demeanor is laid back. You can tell she vibes in her own world. The talented Tokyo Jetz is keeping up the momentum with staying true to self as a female artist. Make sure to visit her below.
It began with early today seeing notifications of XXXTentacion in critical condition from being shot while in Florida. He was aparently shot while in his BMW coupe. Immediately, it was announced that he has now passed away.
XXXTentacion been influential to the young generation. His music became relatable to many. He expresses how he dealt with depression and helped others in his community. Some disliked or disgreed with XXX because of his sound and/or appearance. He was in some trouble for alledgedley beating on his past girlfriend. Despite the negative, XXX wanted to make a better life for himself as well as others. His music made the billboards as well as collaborated with other major artists.
We are praying for his family, friends, and fans. Rest In Peace.
