Creating a platform for artists to express themselves the right way has been our main objective. Houston’s Finest Unplugged TV viewed how unity within businesses can bring a great deal of people together. Since we began this blog site, we wanted to show what matters the most in our society. We created a team featuring DJ Mizzle, Don P, Sherita, and Nyte Lyfe Lexx. Once connecting dots with Music Exchange Radio and Vision4Productions, we wanted to share our insights on some very interesting hip hop artists.
Music Exchange Radio is an innovative media network which uses the combination of 24 hour live streaming, radio, television, website, and smart phone app. They market and promote independent music of all genres, culturally influence entrepreneurs, music and business education, all in relevance to independent artist.
We teamed up with some great entities to curate the show where people can be apart of. There were interviews in place for a few artists we felt need awareness bought to their dopeness.
It was only right to bring out artists such as Bam Rogers, BG Kenny Lou, FNM $hoota, and JR The Lyrical Angel.
We spoke with Arkansas Hip-Hop Artist Bam Rogers who truly is an artist. Bam states how he has been influenced by Music all of his life. He began at the age of 12. His family has a strong presence with Gospel music. This reflects on how talented Bam is and we are excited to see his future.
We talked about his album which dropped on his birthday November 14th called “Change of Plans”. His upcoming event is held at Astroworld Festival, November 17th. Be sure to check out his new album and our album review on “Change of Plans”.
Next we had a chance to chat with BG Kenny Lou, who is an aspiring artist out of Southpark Houston. This fella has a very interesting story and we commend him for sharing it with us. Kenny has been doing major performances with several high schools during their football games and homecoming activities. With his dope music and strong presence with the kids, The students highly anticipates his show and his words of encouragements. Kenny Lou is indeed what you will call a hardcore rapper, but in his music his melodies becomes anyone’s favorite.
Well not everyone enjoyed his work at the schools. For sure it doesn’t seem pretty having the Houston police displaying the artist on the news. The Houston Police are complaining about how are the schools can allow this artist to perform. In our opinion, how could any school let any rapper perform? Kenny Lou defends himself by telling his side of the story. The media played manipulation in this matter. Kenny shares how he does positive acts for his sake and not for any publicity stunt. He even volunteered with us at The Senior Luncheon at the church and fed the homeless afterwards. We planned prior to the accusations to have artist participate in our volunteer programs.
Besides that, we got a chance to hear his major single “Damn Thang” which is doing crazy numbers at this time. We hope and pray all goes well moving forward to his success in his career.
What’s Family and Money if you don’t see FNM $hoota. Westbank New Orleans artist has migrated to Houston and become an all around guy. You may see him in Atlanta one day, next in L.A. $hoota came chat with us about his future projects and next moves. His humbleness spreads in the room everywhere he go. We went to his video shoot for “Playing Games” a week ago. This tack is on his EP titled “All Hype Shit”. $hoota touches on how being able to move around helped him connect more than ever. He is definitely an underdog in the industry. His clothing line FNM Apparel is another example of his great work ethnics and sense of style.
We consider him a true artist who stands behind his brand. It’s never a doubt you will catch this artist with his children. It is never a time you catch not on point. He is the true definition of Family and Money.
Last but far from least, Westbank New Orleans singer and rapper JR The Lyrical Angel blesses us with his presence during the show. With his strong yet angelic voice, we placed him spot to give us a taste of his sound. JR is an aspiring artist moving forward to become the next big sensation. His ability to sing and spit major bars keeps everyone astonished. We ask him how his life has been affected music. He had a tough Road to where he is today. He is truly a living testimony. He allowed the audience to hear his upcoming track “Crossroads”. One of our favorite projects he produced. JR is currently working on a project and we look forward to hearing more from him.
Overall the show became a success! We united artists and entities they may have never met before. We had several we would like to thank for being apart of our project:
Rudy Alexander (Takeover Studios/ A&R with Rap-A-Lot)
Florida female and Hustle Gang Artist Tokyo Jetz Coming for your head in her latest “The One”. This song has an addicting persona that you can’t resist to say “I’m The One”. Her lyrics are mean and her Demeanor is laid back. You can tell she vibes in her own world. The talented Tokyo Jetz is keeping up the momentum with staying true to self as a female artist. Make sure to visit her below.
We had Westbank’s Artist FNM $hoota as our featured guest on the Hip-Hop Live Review Show in Houston and enjoyed his company. Check out The footage with Nyte Lyfe Lexx as they chop it up about his latest projects, point of views on music today, the culture of hip-hop, and more.
Let’s Recap on Love2JamRadio’s latest Unplugged Show with Y.B.G. We such a great time with Mysslovie and the crew. May 21, 2017 Love2jam had another banging show with some dope artists.
To start off the show, they opened with Zay Reed and Zay The Premier. Both artists collaborated on the stage and kept it going. Zay Reed has a sensual voice as he sings to the ladies in the room. Premier showed his skills as he rock the audience. Both artists were dope. We consider they become more enthused with their stage presence.
Special guest Duck came and blessed the stage! He has a strong presence and good delivery. He has an old school flow, which was refreshing to hear besides the repetitious sounds of today. This is our first time encountering music from this artist and would like to hear more.
Last, Love2Jam closed out the show with JusKnoMac. Performing his hit single “Flip Phone” had the crowd jumping! Mac also had a great performance and good delivery on the stage. Everyone was engaged. Which is very important when you are trying to attract new fans. We are waiting for this artist to give us more to feed off that energy he has.
This was one of our best shows at Love2Jam radio! We enjoyed how much talent was in that room! Stay Tuned for more features on Unplugged’s Show!
“Baby We Live” with Tweeday and his Exclusive Track “Tag Me In” Remix with Nick Patti Wack and Danrue. The Hammond Artist has plenty in his bag as he pulls out this banger. This song will have you Jigging all day! We love how he has the sensational duo Danrue and Nick Patty Wack featured as well. Danrue with his out of sight dance moves and Nick bucking up the moment, while definitely have you going. Tweeday definitely has a hit and it’s for all ages, which is dope! The video gives you that vibe needed for the summer. Matter of fact, go ahead and check out Tweeday’s video! We look forward to hearing more from the artist.
Producers play a very significant role in Hip Hop Music since forever. One of the most talented, grimiest, producers is The Alchemist. If you were a fan of the 90s era, then the 1st Nfrantry should have enlightened you. Even though this album dropped 2004, the sound, content, and production was overall raw. This project may not be as Effective to most in today’s music. Hip Hop heads should have this in common as well as we do. If you haven’t heard it yet, go ahead and envision Alchemist sounds through your ears.
This 19 track project has some of your most influential artists yet legendary. The Alchemist kicks off the “Dead Bodies” featuring TheGame and Prodigy. The grimey record “Essence” has “The Lox” pounding the beat and creating tension across it. Not to forget the single of the album “Hold You Down” featuring NinaSky and IllaGhee. Not to forget Alchemist spitting as well. You will catch him on multiple tracks.
“Stop The Show” has StatQuo and Legendary MOP. He even has Lloyd Banks on “Bangers”. There were a host of more features including Devin The Dude, Nas, J Hood, Dilated People, TI and PSC, and BReal of Cypress Hill.
Collectively, The 1st Nfrantry was a solid album. The Street Tones, Paranoia sounds, suspense, grimey beats, and that Up North sound sets it off. This album is well appreciated from Nyte Lyfe and in hopes to hear another from today’s artists and The Alchemist.
Not too long ago, Kendrick teased his fans with releasing “TheHeartPt. 4″ before his album. February 14,2017, the album “Damn” comes out giving the world a reality check in our opinion. With dope appearances by Rihanna, U2, Zachari, and more, he has set the bar once again.
With tracks listed in bold letters, it screams out topics which seems demanded to speak on. GOD, LUST, LOVE, PRIDE, DNA, are just a few. Kendrick is known for not just catchy lyrics but it’s meaning and purpose as an artist as well.
Not to even start with the great collaborations with super producer Mike WiLL Made It, who produced Single “HUMBLE” and XXX. Alchemist came and torn up FEAR. J. Blake was also a talk about producing DUCKWORTH. Including 9th Wonder on this track raised the cred as well.
What are your thoughts on the latest creation from Kendrick? Give us your opinion and comment below.
